The domestic glassware market is dominated by established European brands whose heritage and aesthetic are rooted in tradition and decoration. Sisecam, 90-year-old glassware production leader and international industrial group, sought our business partner Saffron Brand Consultant’s help in creating a new brand that would appeal to a younger-minded and discerning international market.

Sisecam, 90-year-old glassware production leader and international industrial group, sought our business partner Saffron Brand Consultant’s help in creating a new brand that would appeal to a younger-minded and discerning international market.

Saffron began by questioning the market status quo with its excess and decorative feel. The new brand would be based on an elemental foundation, stripping away everything that was not essential or did not serve a real need or function. Space, function, purpose and clarity became key to the new brand and vision. And so the name ‘Nude’ was a natural fit – a name that captures the striking, essential nature of the functional forms, and the simplicity of the material.

Nude was designed to appeal to a variety of global markets. The brand draws on international alliances and design partnerships to infuse the brand with an international and consistently novel vernacular. Architects and artists bring new and experimental ideas and designs. Ron Arad and Swarovski are the first partnerships of note, both bringing their own unique design language to the Nude experience.
